“Teddy” is an absolute sweetheart to everyone and an absolute nightmare for birds! He has a great demeanor; very relaxed, yet very curious. He’s independent, yet very friendly. Teddy loves to sit in the recliner with his owner, human siblings, and anyone who will scratch or rub his belly.
Although a lover at home, when Teddy goes to the field to hunt or for training, he is all business. Steady as a rock in the duck blind, and a bird finding, pointing and retrieving machine. As good as his retriever skills are, Teddy also excels in the upland field. He has been pointing birds in the upland fields since he was 11 weeks of age.
Teddy weighs 63 pounds and has a big, blocky head and a big chest. Teddy is ¾ American Field Lines (goes back to Lean Mac and Creekside’s Hey Paco) and ¼ English field lines. His Sire, Flame, is one of the most highly titled pointing labs ever. Teddy is the only dog on earth that has a multitude of high-level hunt test titles AND is a Canine Good Citizen and Certified Therapy Dog.
Teddy’s past pups have proven to be very talented with great natural point, strong retriever skills, good looks, athleticism, and awesome personalities.
Teddy is owned by Justin VanDeHey of Cooperstown Kennels.
You can find a list of Teddy’s accomplishments at the below link.
Teddy & Grace's pedigrees are mostly American field lines with a splash of English field/show lines a couple generations back on both sides.
These pups could go in multiple directions! From service dog prospects to the hunting blind, upland field, scent work, sporting, and great family companions.
At least 2 puppies from this litter will be placed with a non-profit Service Dog training program for future placement with Veterans who suffer from PTSD.

This pairing is 1/2 American/field & 1/2 English/bench bred litter. The best of both worlds!
Several puppies from this litter will be placed with non-profit Service Dog training programs for future placement with a Veteran, First Responder, &/or victims of crime who suffer from PTSD.
These puppies will be great candidates for Service Dogs, therapy, obedience, sporting, hunt, as well as loving family companions.
We are super excited about this litter and looking forward to their arrival.
"Polar Bear" is an English/bench bred Labrador Retriever with kind eyes and a lovely light cream coat. His health, temperament, and intelligence are remarkable. He has a sweet nature, very gentle & sociable, to people and other dogs, yet able to ignore stimulus and not get overly excited. He is incredibly calm and confident in any situation, yet responsive and willing to work when asked.
Polar Bear is an active working Service Dog and takes his job seriously. He weighs a solid 85 pounds which is essential as his strength is needed as one of his working tasks is to provide mobility support for his Veteran.
In addition to being a working Service Dog, Polar Bear also prides himself in passing on his wonderful traits to his puppies. Polar Bear puppies have a success rate of over 96%; which is nearly unheard of for any Service Dog Training Program. He has sired 141 puppies for 'Hero Labradors', all of which have been donated to well-known and respected Service Dog training programs. Those puppies are either currently completing their Service Dog training or are actively serving their Veterans &/or First Responders.
Polar Bear is owned by Charles Ziegenfuss of Hero Labradors, Decatur, Texas.
This pairing will be 1/2 American/field & 1/2 English/bench bred litter. The best of both worlds!
We loved the puppies this past pairing produced & can't wait to pair Rose & Polar Bear again!
Several puppies from this litter will be placed with non-profit Service Dog training programs for future placement with a Veteran, First Responder, &/or victims of crime who suffer from PTSD.
In addition to service dog canidates, these puppies would make great therapy, obediance, scent, and hunt dogs, as well as loving family companions.

"Thorin" is an athletic, 85-pound, chocolate bench bred Labrador Retriever with gorgeous conformation, incredible working drive, and natural hunt instinct. He is versatile enough to win in the show ring in the morning and flawlessly transition to hunting waterfowl or upland game in the afternoon. Although Thorin does not naturally point, rather a ‘pause’; his Grandfather Chief, has a full natural hard point. Thorin's incredible nose once sniffed out and picked up a friends lost cell phone on state game lands; talk about a ‘needle in a haystack’!
Thorin stands out too many as he works WITH his handler, focused and purposeful. In his free time, Thorin enjoys looking out the window and watching ducks land on the pond, lounging around on a comfy bed, or going to local community functions so he can get pets from hundreds of people. His favorite treats are raw marrow bones or crunchy dog biscuits. If Thorin could talk, I’m sure he would tell you that finding & retrieving birds is his absolute favorite thing to do.
As a puppy, not only was Thorin impressive in looks; he was bold, confident, friendly, focused, and shined at every new opportunity. His owner knew early on that Thorin would be one of her greatest victories. 100% Breeder/Owner/Handled to all titles.
Thorin passes on his wonderful traits to his puppies who are now serving as Diabetic Alert Dogs, Canine Advocates comforting victims of domestic violence & other crimes, supporting emergency personal such as firefighters & EMS. Puppies are competing in Hunt Tests, Obedience, Rally, and Agility, as well as a few couch potatoes; all who are loved family companions.
In his owners’ words:
“Thorin has proven to be an absolute dream dog; truly a dog of a lifetime.”
To quote his namesake, Thorin Oakenshield:
"Loyalty. Honor. A willing heart. I can ask no more than that."
1/2 English & 1/2 American lines.
We absolutely love how the puppies from Thorin and Lady's first litter are turning out and are excited to pair them again.
At least 2 puppies from this litter will be placed with a non-profit Service Dog training program for future placement with Veterans who suffer from PTSD.
With proper training, these puppies are ideal canidates for service work, therapy, obediance, sporting, hunt, as well as great family companions.
